Hazim Amir is the founder of ZenCath, where he leads the development of high-performance catheter solutions. He specializes in transforming early-stage concepts into refined and scalable devices. Prior to founding ZenCath, Hazim contributed to the development of advanced endoscopic technologies, including the Galaxy Robotic System at Noah Medical and Monarch Robotic Platform at Auris Health (Johnson & Johnson). He also worked at Duke Empirical, a leading contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO), where he managed catheter programs from initial concept through commercialization—gaining deep experience in translating ideas into manufacturable, high-quality products. Hazim is certified in project management and is passionate about applying lean principles beyond manufacturing—bringing efficiency, speed, and clarity into the R&D process. His approach emphasizes disciplined iteration, reduced development cycles, and engineering rigor. Coming from a family of healthcare providers, Hazim developed an early appreciation for the impact of medical technologies on patient care. This foundation continues to drive his commitment to advancing minimally invasive devices and elevating healthcare outcomes. Outside of work, Hazim enjoys spending time in nature and staying active outdoors, reflecting the same sense of balance and clarity that defines his approach to engineering and innovation.
